The redistribution of funds?

As this website and the VT-Trust have only just been launched, it is too early to put down any concrete initiatives that the VT-Trust will support. However, the VT-Trust can give you an example of the types of initiatives that it would consider investing funds into.

My favorite magazine is called Scientific American, in which lots of stories about new innovative ideas and world changing initiatives are published. When you read it, you start to wonder why we don’t all use all these great new innovations that would reduce our carbon footprint, or extend our knowledge of space so we can put that knowledge into something useful for humanity.

To give you an example of one of these awesome initiatives that scientists are currently working on:

The concept                                                                                                                    

 A group of engineers and scientists designed a 20ft container size machine that is able to extract Co2 directly out of the air via the specially designed panels, and is then able to store this for use in other applications. The calculation made is that we would need approximately 10 million of these machines to be placed around the globe to reverse a major part of the global warming effect. To put this into perspective, we manufacture close to 60 million cars per year. Knowing this, even though the infrastructure isn’t currently there to make these machines on such a scale, it doesn’t take too much imagination to believe that this could be done over a period of time and it certainly does not seem impossible.

Inspired by stories like the one above, I want to help make these types of initiatives a reality, as they all too often do not get off the ground due to insufficient funds. The VT Trust would like to have the ability to turn such non-band-aid-initiatives into successes that can help all of humanity!

I dare to believe that one person can make a difference!                                                    

I am just one person attempting to do something that I believe in. I hope that you will support me and help me make a difference by entering into this competition to win everything I own. After all, to win all of these things on this unbelievably beautiful island, I can assure you, would be almost too awesome for words!!!

I have many more concepts like the one above that I am going to post on this section of the website, so that you, the possible entrant, can gain better insights on the types of initiatives I want to bring to the world if I can.
