The VT-Trust is a social business that invests its earned money into initiatives around the world that aim towards advancing humanity in a variety of ways. Temo van Tongeren, 34, is the director and creator of the VT-Trust. Having spent the past 10 years in the corporate world, he felt he needed to change something in his life. He quit his job and set up the VT-Trust to support projects that better humanity in the long term. Think about sustainable housing, a cure for a life threatening disease, a better understanding of the vast space around this planet or an idea to recycle more of our waste than we have been able to do so far.
To earn money for the VT-Trust, Temo has set up this competition where he is giving everything away that he owns. The competition is not won with sheer luck, but involves some skill as it is up to the entrants to select a YouTube video that they think will have the highest growth during the time of the competition. They also have the option to lock their growth rate in before the closing date. To enter a link into the competition will cost the entrant 1 Euro. With that link, they are in the race to win a house, a car and a boat on Waiheke Island, New Zealand, while at the same time supporting the VT-Trust.
Temo is risking all of his belongings to follow his dream, because it is what we do today, that will affect our tomorrow...
