Important Update

Hi all, well it has taken us some time to get to the next phase simply to just get this competition off the ground.

Unfortunately the Department of Internal Affairs in New Zealand have given us no choice other than to leave the country if we want to run this competition.

Hence we are now making plans to do that, so that we can run a similar competition. We were running for a total of about 7 days hence not many of you had already purchased link credits.

For the thousands of people that registered and were wanting to buy link credits and help to change the world and be part of this movement, all we can give you are our apologies for not being in a position to be able to run the competition as planned. For those of you that have already purchased Link credits we would like to offer you a refund and will sort this out as soon as you request it.

 Please understand that we had sorted out the legal side of this competition before hand and were told that we were not braking any legal rules in running this competition in New Zealand as the competition was a game that people purchased link credits for to use in the game, it was skill based and the competition winner was selected by the people in the world.

However the department of internal affairs have deemed this competition to be remote interactive gambling.

If we had of ignored the department of internal affairs request to shut down the competition criminal charges were most likely going to be pressed against us with the possibility of a year in Jail and a 25 thousand dollar fine.

Even though our legal firm have indicated that we would mostlikely win the case if it were to go to the high court, the court fees etc.... would have been for us to pay as it would have been a criminal trial. Hence the trial with appeals and worst case scenarios it could have cost us a couple of years in time and an approximate expense of 100 to 200k.

Any how, as soon as we have everything arranged we will set up a new competition and will inform everyone that had registered regarding the new competition what they can do to enter.

The Idea

This competition is designed to help me raise funds for the VT-Trust, that wants to fund those great initiatives. I want to make a difference - by investing today in initiatives that will better our tomorrow.

The Game

It's a bit like stock trading - but way more fun:

1. Purchase 1 or more Link Credit(s), pick any Youtube video and register its link for €1

2. Watch its growth rate (or "average hits per minute")

3. Lock that in when it peaks and you may win the game. If you win the game you therefore win everything I own!

If your locked-in growth rate is the highest at the end of the competition, you win my life!

Well, my house, car, boat and all my contents. 

& if you're nice, maybe my friends too  

And for those of you that don't live nearby, we'll fly you to New Zealand!! Closing date is midnight, February 28, 2011.
